security for sites under construction

Security for under-construction sites-

A plan is followed for the deployment of security personnel in the sites that are under-construction. These measures are adhered and facilitated under strict supervision of the Nova Security Group:
Ø SITE INSPECTION/ POSITIONING OF SECURITY PERSONNEL-In the site area, a following pattern is decided. The areas that demand more light are lit up for effective surveillance at night time (Usually this will be advised by the Nova Group). The whole area is surveyed and the strategic points such as the entry and exit are decided. It is mandatory that the entire area under surveillance must be visible or communicable by CCTV or a walkie-talkie.
Ø ROTATION OF SECURITY PERSONNEL-The security personnel must be in rotation after every 8 hours period. This aspect of prime importance to the organization and will have a positive impact on the performance of the deployed security guards. In addition to this, a log book must be maintained without laxity.
Ø MATERIALS CHECKING AND RECORDING-The safety of the critical materials is a priority, an inventory log book accentuates in maintenaning a strict surveillance on the materials movement, thereby maintaining a complete scrutiny on opening and locking of stores and the particulars in whose presence these were operated.
Ø ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS-
a) Protection of the Power Source Thieves can cut power lines. Ideally power lines stay at a height of 24 feet or higher. Often, the electric meter boxes can be targets; if the site has one, it is assured that it stays well-protected. Ideally a generator or some other independent source of power is best suitable for the construction site security lighting.b) Maintaining and Protecting the LightsHaving a regular light maintenance program helps in checking, cleaning or replacing the lights. Further, lights that are enclosed in a wire mesh or other shield prevents in tampering or shattering by vandals or potential intruders.c) Positioning of Lights to Prevent Blind AreasA regular night-time patrolling is mandatory. In order to prevent an intrusion/theft at night, a strict security network under effective lighting helps in thwarting the potential dangers and mishaps.
